“Pulsaciones”, the new series produced by Globomedia (MEDIAPRO Group) proved a big hit with audiences on its debut on the 10th January on Antena 3. The fiction series starring Pablo Derqui, Juan Diego Botto, Leonor Watling, Meritxell Calvo and Ingrid Rubio was the number-one viewer choice on its launch with 3,011,000 viewers. In its broadcast slot (22:45 – 24:02), it beat all comers with an average share of 17.1%.
“Pulsaciones” is psychological and emotional thriller which kicks off with the dangerous investigation undertaken by a brain surgeon who recently had a heart transplant, who’s looking to resolve the mysterious death of his donor. A 10-episode series which tells a story of love and suspense with the plot revolving around a prestigious doctor trapped between his wife and the widow of his donor.
The premiere of the series created by Emilio Aragón, Carmen O. Carbonero and Francisco Roncal was also a big hit on social networking sites. On Twitter, #Pulsaciones was a trending topic in Spain throughout the broadcast as well as briefly becoming a world-wide trend, with largely positive comments. Right from the start, the viewers highlighted the excellent launch of the episode, a feeling that was consolidated after the programme had finished, with special mentions for the cast and its addictive nature.
This coming Sunday at 23:00 sees La 2 premiere “Spain in a Day as part of the “Versión Española” season. Directed by Isabel Coixet and produced by RTVE and MEDIAPRO, the film provides a global portrait of the Spain as seen by its people, their dreams, fears and hopes in one of their lives. The DVD of the film will go on sale at the end of the month, on the 24th January and Isabel Coixet is set to attend the launch event for the DVD on the 25th January at 19:00 in the FNAC in the l’Illa Diagonal Barcelona Shopping Centre.
“Spain in a day” a film which sets out to provide a portrait of Spain and its people provided by accounts of the Spaniards themselves. The film’s makers launched a massive promotional campaign to attract as much participation as possible which culminated in people sending in videos filmed on the 24th October 2015. From the 22,638 videos received, Isabel Coixet used 404 stories filmed by Spaniards both at home and abroad that go to make up the most participative documentary film ever made in Spain. Stories of deep importance to the participants are mixed with fun anecdotes and snippets of people’s daily lives with the central themes running through the whole film: What do you fear" What do you love" What do you believe in" What’s your dream"
The desire to make the film as participative a project as possible is also reflected in the choice of the promotional poster. Designed by Javier Mariscal, the final choice was the result of a public vote. Alberto Iglesias, a three-time Oscar nominee and winner of 10 Goya awards, wrote the soundtrack for the film, whose CD is also on sale with the DVD.
Based on a “In a day” – a original idea created by produced by Scott Free Films, “Spain in a day” follows on from the “Life in a day” in 2010 and other successful adaptations in countries such as the UK, Japan and Italy. The film went on general release on the 30th September after its official presentation at the San Sebastian Film Festival and is sponsored by Campofrío.
GOL is set to provide comprehensive coverage of the Seville FC – Real Madrid CF last sixteen LaCopa game with special editions both and after the game from the Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium bringing viewers all the latest team news. Josep Lluís Merlos will provide match commentary with analysis from Andrés Palop (the ex-Seville FC player) and Rubén de la Red (the former Real Madrid CF player). After its successful run on ETB, the programme produced by K2000, “El lector de huesos”, made its debut last Monday on Aragón TV to impressive audience figures.
The programme, presented by Dani Álvarez and forensic anthropologist Paco Etxeberria, sets out to reconstruct some of worst crimes in recent memory from a forensic point of view. The first episode, focusing on the Bretón Case, notched up impressive debut figures, posting a 10.7% share in Aragon and surrounding areas.
The 8th October 2011, José Bretón killed his children Ruth and José in Cordoba and burnt their bodies in a bonfire. At first their remains were unable to be identified but thanks to techniques used by Paco Etxeberria the case was resolved and Bretón was found guilty of their murder. The programme reconstructed the case and provided interesting facts about his work and the identification of the burnt remains of the bones, as well as including an interview with Breton’s ex-wife, Ruth Ortiz.
The next episode will uncover the work that the forensic scientist Paco Etxeberria is doing to identify the remains of victims of the Spanish Civil War and the Franco dictatorship found in mass graves.

The Spanish Handball Federation once again entrusted Adisar Media to produce two adverts featuring the “Hispanos” and the “Guerreras”, the Spanish men’s and women’s handball teams. The two ads, which feature the two teams, are part of the campaign to promote the sport in the run-up to the up-coming world championships.
