"Mujeres", the successful Dunia Ayaso and Félix Sabroso series back on TVE
La Primera to show repeat of the series from Sunday

Following the audience and critical success of the showing first time round of “Mujeres”, TVE viewers will now get a 2nd chance to see the series directed by Dunia Ayaso and Félix Sabroso.

La Primera is the channel. Sundays at 12.30 in the morning after "La película de la semana", a double bill of "Mujeres", the series which tells the story of three generations of women in a Madrid suburb.

Following the success of its first showing on La 2 on TVE a few months ago, "Mujeres" has also been shown on Italian channel RAI as well as the cast members picking up several awards for their performances.

Sundays will see two episodes of “Mujeres” on La Primera de Televisión and a chance to relive the world of the loveable main characters with their problems, apiñes, frustrations, and dreams. Comedy and a commitment to reality in the series created by Dunia Ayaso and Félix Sabroso starring Chiqui Fernández, Teresa Lozano, Carmen Ruiz, Inma Cuevas, Bart Santana, Gracia Olayo, Marilyn Torres, Antonio Gil and Víctor Clavijo.

The series an Almodóvar creation produced by El Deseo and MEDIAPRO, "Mujeres" is the story of four women who are condemned to live together and get along and although at the end of the day they love each other, living together isn’t always what they really want to do.

An award-winning series
Following the success of its showing on La 2 on TVE, "Mujeres", in addition to being shown in Italy on RAI, the series has also won critical and audience recognition with multiple awards for the work of the main characters.

In the Unión de Actores awards, the actors in "Mujeres" won in every category in which they were nominated: Best Leading Actress for Chiqui Fernández, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Inma Cuevas – who was nominated alongside fellow Mujeres actress Teresa Lozano-, Best Actress in a Secondary Role for Gracia Olayo and Best Actor in a Secondary role was won by Víctor Clavijo.

Chiqui Fernández also won the "Fotogramas de Plata" award chosen by the readers of the magazine for her work in the role of Irene, a 46-year old woman who does the best she can for her family following the death of her husband. Strong and determined, a fighter who at the same time is a woman who has repressed her feelings for fear of getting hurt again, a woman in need of love.
