The technical and personnel deployment carried out by Overon for its coverage of the World Cup has finally come to an end with the company meeting all of its objectives. In total a team of 40 people travelled to South Africa with 15 DSNG’s, 2 fly-aways, 3 fixed aerials and 4 receivers. Video technicians, satellite operators, camera operators, engineers and producers started arriving in South Africa back in May to provide services for Intelsat, Aldedavisión, TV Asahi, TBS Tokyo, NTV, Teledoce (Uruguay), Globecast Africa, Globecast America, Univisión IMS; Chanel 1 (Russia), ITN; Canal 10 (Uruguay), Videocairo, Medialuso, TV4, Artear, Torneos y Competencias, Telecinco, Atlas, Sogecable, Cuatro, TVE, Antena 3TV, laSexta, TeleMadrid, Canal Sur, Canal Nou, TV3 and ETB. All in HD, with its high quality service. During the competition itself the company provided broadcast services to a host of nertworks world wide from all the official venues.
Overon also covered the impact of the World Cup here in Spain for channels around the world, providing services for CNN, BBC, NBC, Reuters, APTN, ARD, ZDF, RAI, France2, France 3, France 24, RTP, Telefe, NTV, SRG (Switzerland), Univisión, TV Asahi, TVE, A3TV, Telecinco, ATLAS, La Sexta, TeleMadrid, Sogecable, Cuatro, TV3, TVG, Canal Nou and TVCastilla la Mancha, among others.
