| “Águila Roja” sets best ever share mark with 29.5% |
| The season’s most watched programme is close to beating the 6-million viewer mark with 5,804,000 people tuning in last Thursday
|
“Aguila Roja”, the Globomedia produced series for TVE, beat its viewing share record on Thursday 4th March, with the new mark now at 29.5%, almost one percentage point above the previous mark obtained on 18th February (28.8%). With this figure almost a third of all TV viewers in Spain were watching the 22nd episode of this adventure series full of intrigue and passion set in 17th century Spain. With the 5,804,000 viewers, which saw the episode on the 11th February, “Águila Roja” once again crept ever closer to the 6-million barrier.
The series starring David Janer, Javier Gutiérrez, Francis Lorenzo, Miryam Gallego, Inma Cuesta, Pepa Aniorte and the boy actor Guillermo Campra is the 2009/2010 season’s most watched programme, with 5,632,000 viewers (a 28% share). With the 9 episodes broadcast since the 7th January all beating the 5-million viewer barrier.
The ambitious production shown on La 1 on TVE has confirmed the excellent viewing figures achieved since its launch in February 2009, being the most watched series last year. Last Thursday’s episode saw its maximum audience at 23:27, the moment when 6,328,000 viewers were watching (34.8% share) Lucrecia abandon her son in the forest but he decides to go on living despite the riding accident which left him paralysed.
The 13-episode first season of the Globomedia fiction series “Águila Roja”, came to a close with a 25.5% average share and 4,637,000 viewers, figures which are being left in the dust on its return to TVE.
