| Woody Allen to shoot latest MEDIAPRO produced film in Paris in the summer | ||||

| The third MEDIAPRO movie with Woody Allen will start filming this summer in the French capital. Owen Wilson is confirmed to take part, the American actor has starred in a host of films including “The Darjeeling Limited”, “Night in the Museum” and “Starsky & Hutch”. After the summer will see the premiere of “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger”, the second of the Allen produced films by MEDIAPRO. Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Gemma Jones, Freida Pinto, Lucy Punch and Naomi Watts star in his latest project. The plot of this dramatic comedy, shot in a variety of sites in London, revolves around the different members of a family, their various love lives and their attempts to solve their complicated romantic entanglements. “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”, the first MEDIAPRO Woody Allen joint venture, premiered worldwide and was both a cinema-goer and critical success. With box-office takings of 100 million dollars, it became the most successful Allen film in the USA. In Spain it was the most successful film at the box-office ever for the American film-maker beating his previous best set by “Match Point”. Premiered on the international stage at the Cannes Film Festival, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” received a host of awards including The Golden Globe for best Comedy of the Year, two of the prestigious Independent Spirit Awards (Best Script for Woody Allen, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Penélope Cruz); an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Penélope Cruz, etc. In Spain, the film picked up 1 Goya, 3 Gaudí Cinema Awards, a Sant Jordi Award, and the FAPAE Award for its international repercussion, among others. In total there will be four MEDIAPRO produced Woody Allen films. Following the completion of the filming for “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”, MEDIAPRO reached an agreement to produce another three films with Woody Allen the second of which will be shot in Paris in the summer. | ||||
