laSexta adds 4 new series to its bulging fiction catalogue
It has become the stand-out network for quality international fiction with more than 70 series

laSexta, which right from the start of broadcasts has invested heavily in international fiction, has added four new series to its bulging catalogue. “The Forgotten”, “Past Life” and “Human Target” are the new hit series in the States this season bought by the network. In addition, it has acquired the rights to the last two seasons of the series “ER”, not yet seen in Spain. These new productions are added to the 66 existing series already in the laSexta broadcast catalogue.

laSexta has a wide range of different productions at its disposal, from latest releases to cult series, comedies and cartoons. Series such as “The Mentalist”, which is currently in second spot in the US viewing figures ranking; “Bones”, one of the most successful series on the channel or “Navy: criminal investigation”, which is the most watched series this season in the USA are just some of the star premieres which the channel has shown since its launch.

The laSexta catalogue also contains cult productions such as “The Sopranos”, a critical success and winner of 21 Emmy Awards and 5 Golden Globes; “Rockefeller Plaza”, which has won 14 Emmys and 6 Golden Globes, or “Entourage”, with 5 Emmys and one Golden Globe, which are the most winningest series in the States. The network has also invested heavily in cartoons with “Family Guy” and “Futurama”, two series with 3 Emmys each and acclaimed by critics and viewing public for their revolutionary approach to animated fiction.

“The Forgotten”
Actor Christian Slater stars in this Jerry Bruckheimer produced drama watched by 9.5 million viewers in its premiere in the USA. “The Forgotten” covers the work of a group of newly trained detectives whose job it is to identify victims and find their killers.

“Past Life”
From creator David Hudgins and based on the booked “The Reincarnationist”, by M.J. Rose, Past Life is a drama about the work of a specialist who investigates cases related with reincarnation. The series, which was watched by 9 million viewers in its premiere in the USA, stars the actress Kelli Giddish in the role of doctor Kate McGinn.

“Human Target”
Based on the comic of the same name, Human Target is an action series starring the actor Mark Valley in the role as the private security agent who takes on different identities. More than 10 million viewers followed the premiere in the USA of the hero whose mission is to protect his clients from outside threats.

“ER”
laSexta has acquired the rights to the last two series, never seen in Spain, of the drama series “ER”, the pioneering hospital series which has been a viewing hit around the world and has won a total of 23 Emmys and Golden Globes.
