Unitecnic building mobile unit for China
The project has been divided into two separate phases

Unitecnic has recently completed a new international project building a new mobile unit for television for the Lanzhou channel, in the Gansu province in China. This new project is another step forward in the execution of international projects which Unitecnic has been carrying out in the last few years with great success.

The technical project, managed by Unitecnic, has been carried out in two distinct phases. In the first phase Unitecnic provided technical knowledge services as well as operational services for the digitalisation of the TV installations, which were carried out alongside local partners for the supply and set-up of the new digital news launch. In the second phase, carried out entirely in Spain, Unitecnic, working with Media Móvil, designed and set up from scratch a TV mobile unit which was later sent to China.

The mobile unit, which was designed from the beginning with the needs of the client in mind, is 12 metres long made from a tractor and 9-metre long trailer which has been split into three separate work stations. One area for technical control and camera management, a central area for video production and replays, plus a third area set aside for audio production.

The unit is equipped with seven chains of SONY triax cameras, with one wireless set-up. The production area features a 2M/E Kahuna mixer with 32 SNELL entry and 24 exit points as well as electronic video equipment from the same manufacturer. For the intercom system Spanish brand KROMA equipment has been installed, along with a wireless 24-port digital matrix. For the monitoring system KROMA, ALBIRAL, as well as UMD CROSSPOINT equipment has been fitted.

As is usual in Unitecnic projects, the company has not only provided management, engineering and mobile unit construction services but it also has provided set-up services in-situ working alongside the client in order to manage the process of adaptation to the new installation.

Unitecnic and the international market
Unitecnic continues to demonstrate its capacity to take on large international Broadcast projects in cost-efficient ways providing the very best value for money for clients.

Other projects of this type include the new IMAGINA US production centre in Miami, which has been fitted with high definition technology. Unitecnic carried out the project right from the consultancy phase until the operational launch of the project including all the Broadcast engineering for the centre, helping the client transition to the new HD environment.

Unitecnic is currently starting new Broadcast projects in an HD environment for a variety of different clients.
