“Público” surpasses the 100,000 sales mark in January
The national daily with the biggest sales increase, with 48.4% year-on-year rise

“Público” has surpassed the 100,000 sales barrier following a sustained rise in sales over the course of the last seven months, according to the latest Oficina de Justificación de la Difusión (OJD) figures.

The rise in sales which began last summer saw the paper reach figures of 104,483 copies in January, a 48.4% year-on-year rise.

“Público”, which was launched just over two years ago, on the 26th September 2007, is once again the daily newspaper which has seen the biggest rise in the ordinary sales section, which includes sales at newsstands and subscriptions.

In newsstands only, the paper achieved a 33% year-on-year rise, the biggest increase in the national daily market.
