| Norteado |
Directed by Rigoberto Perezcano, starring Harold Torres, Sonia Couoh, Alicia Laguna and Luis Cárdenas, among others.
Andrés reaches the Mexico US border with the intention of crossing over into the States. After each failed attempt he discovers that his adopted city, -Tijuana- is not an easy place to live and whilst he’s waiting to cross, Andrés faces up to his feelings and what he’s left behind in the village he comes from: Cata, Ela, and Asensio.
Present in Festival de Cine de Toronto (TIFF) Discovery section.

Inés and her boyfriend get into a huge row on the bus. They’re on their way to Mar de las Pampas for a short stay at a health farm. The bus stops, Inés gets off with her heavy bag slung over her shoulder, her boyfriend stays on the bus. The bus pulls off, leaving her alone in the middle of nowhere. |

Gasolina

A Melindrosa Films and Buena Onda Américas production, in coproduction by MEDIAPRO, directed by Guatemalan Julio Hernández Cordón.
“Gasolina” tells how three teenagers, Gerardo, Nano and Raymundo steal petrol so that they can drive around aimlessly in a car at night. A journey in which each stop is a run-in with reality sorely testing their friendship, normally a thin line between betrayal, deception and kamikaze-type solidarity. This is also an intimate tale in which the moments of sincerity and nervous strain define a group of youngsters, portray a country and give us a look at their future.
