Carlton Communications is one of Europe's leading media companies,
present in production and distribution sectors in both the free-to-air
and subscription TV markets. Its principal markets are The United
Kingdom, North America and Europe.
Carlton has a 40% stake in the leading free-to-air TV station in
the United Kingdom and markets some of the most successful series
in British television history such as "The Saint", "The
Persuaders" and "The Thunderbirds". It has produced
some of the most famous TV series such as "Inspector Morse",
"Sharpe", "Soldier Soldier" and "Goodnight
Mister Tom".
Carlton invests more than 313 million euros and produces more than
3,700 hours of television every year from documentaries to TV movies.
It sells a programme archive of more than 18,000 hours of television
to more than 100 countries world-wide and has the rights to some
2,000 films.
