Real Madrid TV

Since its foundation in 1999, Real Madrid Televisión has been produced by MEDIAPRO through Royal Media.

Until 2016, the channel was broadcast exclusively via Canal Satélite Digital for Spanish audiences and began broadcasting its international edition in 2004. Currently, the international edition is distributed by Royal Media to more than 50 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, America and Africa by way of a second channel broadcast 24 hours a day in English with a more personalised and specialised touch.

In Spain, RealmadridTV became one of the nationally broadcast DTT channels in April, 2016. This presented the channel with a fresh challenge; to develop a more general-interest design, based on the sport and its values, aimed at all sectors of the community and television audiences. A varied and diverse programming schedule in terms of genres and formats, guarantees unconstrained and pluralistic expression of ideas and schools of thought.

RealmadridTV sets out to provide viewers with something different; something necessary for the television market; something that brings genuine and unique features to the Spanish broadcasting scene, both from the point of view of the content on offer, as well as its configuration as a television operator.

News bulletins make up the central current affairs and news program schedule. With three programs and hourly news bulletins every morning, RealmadridTV devotes more than two hours each day to providing viewers with live updates with all the latest news about the Club.

Every night, Miki Nadal and María Gómez bring us “90 Minuti”, a new sports news program with a blend of comedy produced in collaboration with Globomedia (MEDIAPRO Group) from Monday through Thursday.

The panel discussions (Tertulias) provide audiences with the line-up for evenings and night-time viewing and which combine news, discussion and entertainment.

At the weekend, programs such as “Ciudad Real Madrid” continue to serve as the reference in terms of news and information regarding our junior players and those coming up through the ranks.

Every week, the Fundación Real Madrid presents a “Historia con Alma” (Stories with Soul) in a program that gives us a close up look at the Club’s significant charity activities across the globe.

And, of course, RealmadridTV is live for the sporting and club events throughout the season.
